Countless hours go into the creation of an electronics device. There’s the planning…the engineering…and the marketing…but one of the most overlooked parts of the process is the actual manufacturing of it. Recently a video hit the Internet showing how the iPad is made and it’s amazing to see all the hard work that goes into assembling the world’s most popular tablet.

Marketplace.org Shanghai’s Rob Schmitz recently visited the Shenzhen factory in China where the iPad is made. He was allowed exclusive access to the Foxconn factory and the workers for his story.
Not only was Schmitz allowed to interview the workers, he was also permitted to capture video of his experience. The video, which is seen below, shows the assembly line and almost every part of the production process – including workers testing each iPad. The manufacturing plant is incredibly clean and packed with both workers and electronics.
It’s an amazing look inside the plant that Apple has shrouded in secrecy during past years. Only recently has Apple allowed reporters in to see for themselves the working conditions. Take a look:
